The Casper location offers clients an exclusive hunting experience on an all-private, working ranch in Central Wyoming that consists of 80% deeded acreage and 20% Bureau of Land Management (BLM) acreage. We also have exclusive hunting rights on neighboring ranches, no one else has access to these leases. The ranch is approximately 35 miles north of Casper towards Midwest, WY.
Jimmy and his brother Mike have grown up on the ranch and it has been their backyard for over 30 years. Bill and Mary Owens have had, Owens Land and Livestock since 1989 running red Angus cattle and domestic sheep. Jimmy and Mike were both very active in 4-H, FFA, and participated on livestock judging teams in their area.
Mike and his wife Sarah live at the ranch, assisting in operations. Mike builds custom rifles; his company is Teapot Creek Precision Rifles. Sarah is a kindergarten teacher in Casper.
Bill, Mary, Mike, & Sarah play a very valuable role at Lost Creek Outfitters throughout the year; helping prep meals, smoke meat, plan & organize gear, and the logistics. Mike guides most of the ranch hunts, assisting on sheep hunts when he can. Mary is the main cook at our base elk camp outside of Dubois during the fall.
There’s comfortable lodging accommodations at the ranch and meals are included. The hunts are all done from 4×4 vehicles or ATV’s. Clients will have an opportunity to shoot their rifles at the shooting range located near ranch headquarters.
